:w00t: I actually finished this on time, somewhere between 3-4 in the morning:D I guess I was just really determined..This is the design of Mary's gown I came up with after several idea's and attempts like this one here :[link]
I tried my best to give it a medieval/renaissance and I have to say that I am very proud of Mary's and baby Jesus' hands:DSomething I would like to point out about this piece is that, I know it can be seen very well but baby Jesus is clutching onto a sheer handkerchief Anyways I dedicate this piece to Mary on Mother's Day.:iconthankyouplz4:

The most important person on
earth is a mother. She cannot
claim the honor of having built
Notre Dame Cathedral. She
need not. She has built something
more magnificent than any cathedral—
a dwelling for an immortal soul, the tiny
perfection of her baby’s body. The angles
have not been blessed with such a grace.
They cannot share in God’s creative miracle
to bring new saints to heaven. Only a human
mother can. Mothers are closer to God the
Creator than any other creature. God joins
forces with mothers in performing this act of
creation. What on God’s good earth is more
glorious than this—to be a mother?

This is so awesome! I love the tenderness between Mary and Jesus. I love it! "Lovely Lady dressed in blue" is one of my favorite poems. Bishop Sheen of TV fame years ago used to recite it.
