#1: Notes in a Book: I remember reading this story a few years back. A young man had just received his orders. His Troup would soon be sent into the heat of the war. For some reason, the young soldier, we'll call him Private Robert Keiser, went into a library. He looked through the shelves on the main floor but didn't see anything that interested him. Going down stairs he saw a box full of books that was just donated. He began skimming through the pages of some of the books and found some little notes written on some of the pages. The ideas and statements caught his attention and in the back of the book there was a name and an address, so writing down them down in a small notepad he usually carried around with him, Rob wrote his first letter to the books donator.  It was a lady, whom we'll call Lauren Wyck. The two kept up correspondence. The letters were a great source of comfort to Rob, sometimes in their letters they discussed meeting with each other face to face.  Finally after about a year away from home the soldiers learned that they were going home, the war was over. Rob wrote to Lauren and asked if he could meet her at the train station and that he would wear a special marker so she could identify him. He received her replying telling him that she would be the one carrying a book with a white rose as a marker. He remembered taking his first few steps off the train and saying farewell to some of his buddies, he then began to look around the station for a lady with a white rose. He began to wonder what she would like, did she have long brown hair, red hair, short black hair, like a bob. Then it happened, the white rose shot out at him from the crowed and he saw that it was an older woman, possibly in her sixty's. He had pictured her to be around his own age, but he wasn't terribly disappointed and so he headed in Lauren's direction when the most beautiful girl he had ever seen came walking his way; A blond haired green eyed beauty. Their eyes locked and the gorgeous girl smiled and as she walked by she said in a most alluring voice "Coming my way soldier" Rob instinctively wanted to go after her. He wanted to know who she was and follow after her so bad, but he remembered Lauren was waiting for him, but then again she was an older lady, and he would never find another girl like that ever. Clenching his fist he had to make a decision. Well Rob decided to be gentlemen and went to meet his date. Walking up to Lauren he introduced himself and said "Lauren, I'm Rob, I've been looking forward to meeting you." "I'm not Lauren, I'm Mrs. Shaw" Rob was surprised but before he could ask any more questions Mrs. Shaw handed him a piece of paper with the white rose and said "A young Lady asked me to hold on to that and if a soldier approached looking for Lauren Wyck to give him the directions to the Café where she would be waiting for him. Standing outside the café, Rob took a deep breath and walked in the door and gave his name to one of the waiters. The waiter led him to a table and sitting directly across from him was the beautiful green eyed girl. She explained that she wanted to test him. They fell instantly for each other.  They eventually married, had children and grandchildren and are currently living on the eastern coast near Washington D.C.
Ok, so right now I',m working on a series of short but true, as in it actually happened, biography way of love stories. Some of them are very unexpected but I hope that maybe if I can collect enough of them maybe I can turn it into a book.:D BTW this is one of my favs. I love how she tested him  It would probably be something I would do :D

Is this really a true story?! I read something similar on a website dedicated to inspirational stories, similar but not exact. Is this really a true story?
